society cages souls that dare to be free and decided to stand as themselves even if it's in opposition of the majority. that can be hard sometimes tho and sometimes for the safety for your body and sanity, you just want to fit in and your experience to be seemingly normalized. "Chastity" verbalizes that experience of living as an being who is "othered" and struggles with feelings of wanting to "fit in" but also wanting to be free to live in their fullest selves but in the end you can hear this person choose to be who they be despite of the hardships that come with that. the struggle for feeling free.

my songs tend be genre-less but I guess you can call it a post futurist electronic soul jazz track inspired by the stylings of tricky, sun ra, blackstar, and bjork. the song features Baltimore based saxophonist Sarah Marie Hughes. the song is produced by mathew starke with additional production by me. cover art by painter Jonathan Lyndon Chase. hope you like it.
